Mary-Louise Timmermans has officially received an NSF CAREER award for her proposal: “Evolution and dynamics of the deep waters in the Arctic Ocean”. As NSF says on its website, the CAREER program is one of the “National Science Foundation’s most prestigious awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations.” This is marvelous news for her program, G&G, and Yale—congratulations Mary-Louise!
